J'adore 2013 - My favorites for 2013

Happy new year!

Hope for all of you a great 2014, filled with joy and happiness and most of all health!

I've compiled my most used and faves of 2013 :) (l'm not gonna do swatches, it will be too long!)

Mascara

Clinique High impact: it's soft, it gives some length and a lot of volume
Cover girl Clump crusher: like it says clump crusher, don't need to say more!
Rimmel Lash accelerator: gives a lot of length to my lashes, love it!

Face primer

Lancome La base
BH Cosmetics anti-serum
NYX Shine Killer
L'Oreal Revitalif Miracle blur

I have combination skin and using these face primers did the job. I went from retouching my face 2-3 times a day to only once. The most suprising one was the L'Oreal, it's expensive ( I bought it on sale at 25$) and the texture is smooth and leaves your face matte. I bought the new one that is oil-free, didn't use it yeat since you don't need a lot for your face it might take some time to finish the one l'm already using.

Foundation

NYX Stay matte but not flat
Maybelline Fit me stick in number 355
Maybelline Fit me liquid foundation in no 360
BH Cosmetics Liquid Foundation in Deep beige
I used to wear the MAC foundation in NW45, it's great but too expensive. These ones are less than 10$ (BH is 5-6$ and are on sale almost every month for 4$)and to me they do a wonderful job. They stay on, they don't oxydize.

Powder

Ben Nye banana powder
Maybelline Fit me pressed powder in no 355
Rimmel Stay matte in translucent

Rimmel is a late entry in 2013 and I had to include it since it did a great job. The Ben Nye became my fave, you don't need a lot and the bottle will last me for years. The maybelline is always in my makeup bag, I might try a more expensive one this year but for drugtore Maybelline will be my top one.

Lip gloss

All NYX: Cafe latte, Sand dune, Apricot and Stockhlom lip cream. Pigmented and love the fruity smell!

Eyeshadow Base

Milani Primer
Too faced Shadow insurrance
MAC Painterly painpot
Keeps my eyeshadow on for hours. The Milani is at a cheap price but for me it works so well.

Eyeshadows

Makeup Geek eyeshadows: I bought my first z palette in october and it was love at first sight. The eyeshadows are soooo pigmented, soft, not expensive. I bought more in December and still not dissapointed.

Sugarpill Burning Heart palette and Wet n Wild Comfort zone: I wore the Sugarpill at least once a week during the summer, the colors are incredible, got a lot of compliments with thisone. The wet n wild, for the price, the color payoff is off the hook!!

Lorac pro palette: You love it or you don't, there were a lot of mixed reviews for this one but I love it!

Inglot freedom system: This is my first buy from Inglot and was not dissapointed. Pigmented, I love the structure of the palette, my only thing is that there is some fallout but nothing to complain about.

Lipstick

I love lipstick can't get enough, these are the ones I used the most.
(l. to r.): Revlon lip butters Brown sugar and Creme brulee
Avon - Sheer mocha
Cover girl - Enchant and Smitten
Revlon - Berry haute and Wine not
Avon - Vamp

Blushes

I was always afraid to wear blushes. To me it was always white people who can wear blushes. I've been wearing some since the spring and it became my essential thing when I wear makeup.

Sleek Flushed, Jordana (Sienna, Cinnamon spice and Terracotta treasure).

Concealer

Covergirl stick in medium/deep, NYX in nutmeg, Maybelline in cafe and black circles eraser in medium.

Face cleanser/ moisturizer

Sephora Supreme cleansing oil: late entry in 2013 but with this makeup just melts and the oil is not heavy, washes away quickly.

Clarisonic Mia 2: also a late entry. Got it in the beginning of december. I've been putting it off for a year and decided to invest and l'm happy I got it!

Olay Pro X face cleanser: I used this cleanser before the Mia 2. It's less expensive (around 30$) I think it helped me not have a purge moment with the Clarisonic. There's two speed. I use it with the Simple facial crub and it doesn wonders!

Simple products: For sensitive skin and just love it. I've tried almost everything for the brand and will continue using it.

Josie Maron Argan oil: Great face moisturizer

Hair

I tend to change my hair from curly to straight and when I leave it straight I use the l'Oreal Eversleek products. The shampoo has no sulfate and the conditioner no sillicone and for me being a black woman I have a lot of hait and it's very fine, using these products it leaves my hair soft, doesn't strip my hair of moisture. The tresseme Thermal creations helps with the not burning my hair and leaves my hait straight for a long time!

These products I use when I have my hait curly. Doesn't dry my hair, Helps in having a looser curls since I curl soo much.

John Frieds finishing creme (great for straight or curly hair)
Biosilk Silk therapy
Morrocan curling perfection defining cream
Extenzz prevents curls to shrink

Nails

Revlon Extra life no chip top coat and Seche vite top coat: these two together keeps my nail polish on for at least 6 days.

Well that's it (that's a lot) I want to thank all of you for following me. I don't have a lot of followers but I apreciate all of you. I do this for fun and not trying to be the most popular one or looking for freebies, l'm doing this because I love makeup and love to talk about it!

Have a good one!
